It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a month since I added anything to this site. Time is flying by and life, I’m afraid, is short. In the last couple of months, I have been through a lot, including the loss of a family member and the heartbreaking end to a long-term relationship. I have been alone more than not. And while I have been lonely, I have also had a great outpouring of support. I am grateful for my family and friends, for colleagues and coworkers, and for acquaintances and even strangers who have made my life better by reaching out in support and giving of themselves.
In this time of advent, a season of giving, I feel compelled to give back as best I can. I am grateful for many things in life and not the least of which are people who care for me and for their fellow humans and other forms of life on this little planet. Kindness is perhaps the greatest gift of all.
Please remember that the holiday season is about giving what we can, not about giving to excess or feeling guilty about not being able to give. It is about reaching out and making connections, spending time with loved ones, and celebrating life. Another year approaches, and with that, the promise of new life, rebirth, growth. Celebrate this amazing life!
